Il fieno greco è una pianta erbacea con foglie a tre punte e fiori triangolari di colore giallo chiaro. Il fieno greco è originario del Medio Oriente ed è arrivato in Europa solo dopo il IX secolo.

Il fieno greco viene utilizzato per il trattamento di acne, ulcere e cellulite grazie alle sue proprietà antinfiammatorie. E’ considerato utile per migliorare la sessualità, aumenta il desiderio, la fertilità e allevia le problematiche derivate dalla menopausa. Stimola anche la digestione ed è utile a curare disturbi gastro-intestinali. Aumentando gli ormoni anabolici quali il testosterone e il GH il fieno greco è utile per chi deve mettere massa muscolare e per chi deve aumentare la forza.
Diversi studi dimostrano anche un miglioramento della resistenza insulinica e un miglioramento degli ormoni tiroidei modificando il rapporto T4/T3. Favorisce anche l’appetito quindi non lo consiglio a chi vuole dimagrire.
Il dosaggio consigliato varia in base alla forma. Se assunto sotto forma di polvere essiccata e polverizzata, magari come infuso, si suggerisce una dose di 6 grammi al giorno. Se assunto sotto forma di estratto secco invece si consigliano 300mg al giorno. In commercio esistono anche capsule molli, in questo caso anche 500mg al giorno vanno bene. Io personalmente metto 6 grammi in acqua bollente e lascio riposare per 5 minuti.
