Perchè mangio poco ma non dimagrisco?

“Mangio poco e non dimagrisco, sono sfortunato”. Capita spesso di sentire qualcuno lamentarsi del fatto che nonostante mangi poco non riesca a perdere peso oppure ancor peggio ingrassi.
Partiamo dal presupposto che ci sono dei disturbi, delle malattie che inducono il corpo ad ingrassare nonostante pochissime calorie ingerite. C’è da dire però, che i casi nel mondo sono pochissimi e personalmente non ho mai conosciuto nessuno con questo disturbo.
Come mai sentiamo tutte queste persone che credono di mangiare poco e ingrassare/non dimagrire?
La mancanza di movimento è certamente una causa, magari si mangia poco perché si brucia poco. Solo il lavoro a meno che non siate muratori o facciate lavori pesanti non brucia molte calorie, lo abbiamo visto già negli articoli precedenti. E’ importante fare attività fisica e farla con continuità. Se mi alleno una volta ogni tanto avrò un dispendio energetico molto basso e inciderà poco sulla perdita di peso. Il primo consiglio è quello di fare attività fisica con continuità. Il secondo è quello di mangiare bene e il giusto. Se non stai ottenendo i risultati sperati è perché non ti stai impegnando abbastanza e anche a tavola non ci siamo.
Indagando (ma nemmeno troppo) scopriamo che la maggior parte delle persone non sa bene cosa mangia e soprattutto quante calorie ingerisce veramente. Ce ne accorgiamo quando gli chiediamo: “quanto olio usi?” oppure “quanti grammi di pasta/pane mangi?” e altre domande semplici.
Le risposte sono generiche, magari “un po’ d’olio” oppure “un piatto di pasta”, oppure “che ne so”. Sapete bene che sono contrario al pesare gli alimenti e far diventare la dieta una malattia .Inizialmente però, soprattutto nel caso in cui il soggetto non capisce bene quanto mangia, può essere utile per imparare a mangiare bene e capire le giuste dosi.
C’è molta differenza tra un cucchiaio d’olio al mettere l’olio a “sentimento”, magari ne hai messi tre di cucchiai e non te ne sei accorto, e stiamo parlando di 120 kcal in più (ogni cucchiaio sono 8 grammi, ovvero 66 kcal circa)!! C’è differenza tra mangiare la pasta con un po’ di pomodoro oppure mangiare una pasta con burro oppure condimenti grassi. Si può mangiare tutto ma con la consapevolezza di cosa mangiamo.
Ci sono delle app che ci aiutano nel conteggio delle calorie. Il mio consiglio è, almeno inizialmente, di segnare qualsiasi cosa mangiamo, anche la singola caramella, solo così ci rendiamo conto di quello che effettivamente ingeriamo.
Chi non riesce a perdere peso è semplicemente perché non è in deficit calorico e chi ingrassa è perché è in perenne surplus calorico, spuntini fuori pasto, aperitivi, bicchieri di vino, alcolici, siamo sempre lì, a meno di problemi particolari che però sono molto rari. Dobbiamo cercare di impegnarci al 100%! E’ inutile trovare scuse se non siamo pronti a fare sacrifici, e vedrete che è solo questione di abitudine. Una volta che impariamo a mangiare bene non ci verrà neanche in mente di esagerare come accadeva in precedenza. In sintesi il “mangio poco e non dimagrisco” è una sciocchezza.
